Step 1: The Consultation and Planning Phase
Before we get started physically organizing, we’ll spend about an hour together in your space. This isn’t just a tour; it’s our time to chat through what’s working (and what’s definitely not) and dream up a vision for your home. I’ll listen to your biggest pain points—from the playroom with “too many” toys to the cluttered entryway—and use this time to create a custom-designed system that fits your family’s unique routines.
By the end of the consultation, you’ll have a clear, customized roadmap and feel a weight lifted off your shoulders just by having a plan.
Step 2: The Implementation and Decluttering Phase
Once we have our plan, we get to work.. This is the implementation phase where we dive into the project, sorting and decluttering your belongings before we set up your new system.
This hands-on work can take anywhere from a few hours for a single space, like an entryway, to a few days for a larger project, like a playroom packed with toys. I’ll guide you through the process, helping you decide what to keep and what to let go of. Then, we will focus on creating a system, not just a clean space, by putting your items back in a functional way.
Step 3: The Conclusion and Ongoing Maintenance Phase
This is the most important part of the process! Once we’ve created a beautifully organized space, our work isn’t done. I will give you a realistic plan for how you and your family can maintain the space long after I’m gone.
I’ll teach you how to get your kids involved in maintaining the system, and we can even create custom checklists to make daily tidying a breeze. My goal is to empower you with the tools you need to keep your home organized for good.
For Example: The Details of Entryway Organization
A perfect example of this process is an entryway. The first step is the Consulation, where we talk about how you actually use the space and what you want it to look like every single day. From there, the Implementation phase begins, where we transform your entryway into a functional oasis. We’ll find spots for everything (including your husband’s keys and wallet!) and make sure family members know where everything goes.
Finally, in the Ongoing Maintenance phase, we’ll talk about how to keep it that way, so you never have to hunt for soccer cleats again.
